The Role of Local Wisdom in Disaster Mitigation: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Approach

Deskripsi:
This article presents a systematic review of existing research on the role of local wisdom in disaster mitigation in Indonesia. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, the authors explore how traditional values, community beliefs, customary practices, and local communication patterns contribute to disaster risk reduction and the enhancement of community resilience. The study emphasizes that local wisdom is not only a part of cultural heritage but also serves practical functions in interpreting natural signs, managing land use, and shaping collective responses to disaster threats. The authors recommend integrating these indigenous practices into national and local disaster management policies and using them as the foundation for community-based mitigation strategies. This article offers a significant contribution to the development of more contextual, inclusive, and sustainable approaches to disaster risk reduction.
