Deadly Rabies Diagnosis Post One Year of Viral Transmission from Dog’s Bite: A Case Report from Sikka, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia

Deskripsi:

This case presents an unusually long incubation period of rabies, approximately one year after transmission, exceeding the typical range of 20 to 90 days. Rabies is a fatal zoonotic viral infection that attacks the central nervous system with no cure once clinical symptoms appear. This finding suggests the possibility of viral behavioral variations affecting the incubation period, highlighting the need for further research to understand the underlying factors of this condition.
