Lesson Learned from Community-Based Adaptation in Semi-Arid Region of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT)

Deskripsi:
This document is an executive summary of the SPARC (Strategic Planning and Action to strengthen climate resilience of Rural Communities in Nusa Tenggara Timur Province) project. It outlines the lessons learned from community-based adaptation actions implemented in the semi-arid region of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) from 2013 to 2016. The document is highly relevant to NTT as it specifically details the project’s implementation in three districts—East Sumba, Manggarai, and Sabu Raijua—to strengthen the resilience of rural communities against the impacts of climate change, particularly in agriculture, water resources, and livelihoods. It highlights that the impacts of climate disruption are likely to exceed the capacity of rural communities in NTT, making adaptation efforts a necessity.
