Recognition of Indigenous Peoples Values in Indonesia for Policy Addressing Climate Change

Deskripsi:
This article discusses the impact of climate change on indigenous people in Indonesia and highlights the need for policy reforms that recognize their environmental values. It identifies weaknesses in current climate change policies, especially in the participation of indigenous communities in decision-making. The study examines legal protections and explores whether existing laws support indigenous rights. It also argues that recognizing indigenous environmental values can strengthen climate change strategies and ensure their survival. Legal and literature reviews were used to support the findings, which aim to inform government policy.
