Strategy of Drought Disaster Mitigation in North Central Timor District, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia

Deskripsi:
Drought is a natural disaster that disrupts lives due to declining groundwater reserves while water demand remains high. To develop effective mitigation strategies, it is essential to analyze drought risk levels through disaster risk mapping. In North Central Timor Regency, prolonged dry seasons cause severe drought, reducing water availability for households, agriculture, the economy, and the environment. Residents are forced to buy water for daily use and irrigation. This study uses both qualitative and quantitative methods, applying Delphi and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to assess drought risk, and descriptive analysis to identify mitigation strategies.
