Building Resilience for Flood Disaster in Malaka-Timor, Indonesia

Deskripsi:
This book is here to describe the situation of natural disaster areas in Eastern Indonesia with the resilience of women’s indigenous land communities (mother/matrilineal land) in Malaka-Timor, and is intended for academics such as professors, lecturers, researchers, scientists, and fellows at universities. I am oriented toward types of local community resilience assets and flood disasters from an inter- disciplinary perspective based on empirical research in social geography. I present the results of empirical research findings into a contextual participatory qualitative and quantitative interdisciplinary explanation from Malaka-Timor, Indonesia. So, I believe that the understanding of horizons and discussions related to spatial conflicts, flood mitigations, resiliencies, and local communities’ coping in this book can be used as an example and reference as well as a fundamental horizon of knowledge for academics in studying and exploring more critically through empirical and non- empirical researches related to natural disaster cases and the affected communities’ coping system in various corners of the country both in south hemisphere coun- tries such as Malaka-Timor, Indonesia, other Indonesia’s regions and other south hemisphere countries, and in north hemisphere countries.
